Energy security: China's strategies in its quest for resources

Xiaojie XU is a senior research fellow in international petroleum
investment at Institute of World Economics and Politics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing, former director of overseas investment at China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), professor
of geopolitics at East China Normal University in Shanghai, participating fellow of Energy Forum at James Baker Institute at Rice University in Houston, Senior Advisor to Projects International and BOODC
International. XU had worked at CNPC for 26 years (1983-2009) and continue to work for the oil and gas industry as a senior advisor to several energy companies in China, plus governmental agencies.
XU graduated from Zhejiang University in 1983. XU is the author of Petro-Dragon's Rise, what it means for China and the world.
